School Shirt Design Unveiling

England vs Italy 26th February 2017

The Blyth Academy has joined the CBRE All Schools Rugby Program as part of this project we have been given the opportunity to design a new rugby strip for the school,

The culmination of this process was the Shirt presentation prior to the RBS 6 Nations game at Twickenham.

Leaving Blyth via Mini bus at 3:00am on Sunday morning Sam Anderson in year 7 was selected to represent the school for the day, arriving at The stadium at 10:00am, in time for the presentation and the chance to Meet Current England international Billy Vunipola.

After lunch Sam took part in the National Anthems and we then were able to watch what turned out to be a highly competitive if a little controversial Rugby match.

We arrived back in Blyth at 1:30am on Monday very tired but having had a truly once in a life time opportunity.

With our new rugby kit ready and the recent addition of a rugby pitch at the school and regular training sessions supported by Blyth Rugby Club we hope that we can go form strength to strength in this new sport to The Blyth Academy.
